Communication, education and public awareness
An important task of the National Focal Point is to inform, and raise awareness on the importance of biodiversity and to stimulate actions supporting the conservation of biodiversity. We do this by various means. A few examples of actions are as follows:
• supply and update policy-relevant information on the web site of the Clearing House Mechanism
• publish and disseminate brochures
• develop campaigns and web sites on biodiversity and bees
• write or collaborate on publications in journals, newsletters, newspapers, web sites, …
• interviews for printed press or media and participation in radio and television programmes
• develop new methods to inform and raise awareness, e.g., through online games
• supply presentations and trainings on biodivers
• …
