Prize D4D rewards outstanding initiatives that use digitisation and (new) technologies as a lever for development towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Prize D4D consists of three categories:
-
The innovative idea / startup – ‘iStartUp’
-
The success story – ‘iStandOut’
-
The public award – ‘iChoose’
The public can vote until Friday October 14, 2016 for their favourite project in the category ‘iChoose’.
The purpose of the prize D4D is to promote digitisation as a lever for development. Digitalisation is therefore not a goal in itself.
Please make sure that your choice for the public award envisages initiatives with a specific and direct contribution to sustainable development.
All submissions for the public award can be found online: Bosco School Manager - Create your own story - Creo² - Epafoved - Hack out Loud 2015 - Klimos - Let's talk trash - Nan-mi.com - Sesamsector - Solarly. The submission with the most votes will be assigned as the winner of the category 'iChoose'. Everyone can vote once and anonymously for one of more submissions and with a maximum of 5 stars per submission.
Prize D4D is a biennially initiative of the Royal Museum of Central Africa (RMCA) with the support of the Belgian Directorate-General for Development Cooperation (DGD).
