Closing workshop of the COHERENS project in collaboration with IMARPE in Peru

The final workshop of the project entitled "Tools for monitoring, managing and protecting vulnerable marine ecosystems along the Peruvian coast" took place at the University of San Marcos, Lima, Peru from 15 till 17th of March.

3 CEBioS members actively participated in the project and were present at the closing workshop: Dr K Baetens, Dr L Janssens de Bisthoven and Dr P Luyten.

Several political, industrial, governmental and scientific representatives concerned with the ecosystem health of the Peruvian bays were having lively discussions.

The trainees of the workshop did a splendid job explaining their work for a non scientific audience.

After the workshop, CEBioS members met with the Belgian Embassy in Lima to restitute the results of this project.
