News CEBioS mission in Benin

3 CEBioS members, Han de Koeijer, Luc Janssens de Bisthoven and Marie-Lucie Susini undertook a mission in Benin from 1 to 8 February 2016.

The aims of the mission were to:

  • Organise and participate in the regional capacity building workshop of African francophone CHM partners of the Belgian CHM. The meeting took place in Cotonou, from 1 to 3 February. Participants from the following countries were present at the workshop: Bénin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, Gabon, Guinée Bissau, Guinée Conakry, Maroc, Niger, RD Congo and Togo. Olivier De Munck, CHM officer at the CBD Secretariat was also present. Presentations given during the meeting and other relevant information are available here.
  • Visit and monitor progress of awareness activities and research projects undertaken in the North of Benin, in collaboration with Benin CHM NFP and the University of Abomey-Calavi (UAC).
