Report from the European One Health / EcoHealth Workshop is available

The report of the European One Health / EcoHealth Workshop that took place in Brussels on October 6th and 7th, 2016 has now been released. This workshop was organised by the Belgian Community of Practice Biodiversity & Health, which is facilitated by the Belgian Biodiversity Platform. The report provides an overview of the observations, conclusions and recommendations from the workshop.

CEBioS was represented in the local organising committee by Maarten Vanhove, who also convened, together with Nicolas Antoine-Moussiaux (Université de Liège) a session on education and capacity building, focusing on interdisciplinarity capacity building in research and educational challenges and taking the environmental aspect into account.

CEBioS participated in the workshop through several scientists and also sponsored the participation of two Congolese speakers: Prof. D.B. Falay Sadiki (Hôpital Universitaire de Kisangani, D.R.Congo), who presented in the session on Vectors and vector-borne diseases, and Dr. C. Shalukoma Ndukura (Institut Congolais pour la Conservation de la Nature) contributing to the session on Nature health benefits.
