The workshop gathered all stakeholders involved in the management of marine and coastal resources and environment in Benin, such as researchers, members of NGOs and administrates from the relevant Ministries.

The aim of the workshop was to set up the base of a new collaboration between IRHOB and RBINS, via its CEBioS programme, in order to help decision making in the management of coastal areas of Cotonou, using the COHERENS hydrodynamic model.

The workshop used the Project Cycle Management approach.

At the end of the meeting, the participants reached an agreement and produced a logical framework on a 2 year pilot project (2016-2017) which will focus on the use of COHERENS in order to protect the marine coastal environment of Cotonou, Benin.
