Solution Search is an innovative contest created by Rare. The objectives of the contest are to source, reward and disseminate what is already working in conservation and development.

The contest is open to any organization with an innovative solution in farming sustainably and promoting behaviors that strengthen biodiversity.

Organizations can apply online by March 10 for a chance to win USD 30,000 in prize money and/or support through technical and campaigning workshops.

As the world’s population continues to grow, increased demand for food and other goods derived from natural resources strains our soil and the ecosystems around agricultural sites. At the same time, intact ecosystems and a rich biodiversity can help protect crops and improve farmers’ livelihoods.

Contest entries can include solutions for reducing water use, crop rotation that boosts soil health, livestock control measures to protect local flora and fauna, pest control methods that reduce toxic run-off and more.
