CBD+20 - Invitation to the 20 years anniversary of the Belgian ratification

In 2016 Belgium celebrates the 20 years anniversary of the Belgian ratification of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD+20). A collective celebration will highlight the importance of the implementation of the Convention by the actors in Belgium. The National Focal Point Biodiversity and the Federal and Regional administrations in charge of environment invite you to celebrate this anniversary at the Museum on 20 May 2016, in the margins of the International Biodiversity Day.

During this event, the political decisions from the past and for the future will be put forward by the ministers. An interactive debate with the public and young decision maker will be organised organized. The winners of the competition « 1001 Ideas – Save biodiversity » will receive their prizes during an official awards ceremony. During the networking lunch, the environment administrations will present their latest achievements and projects in preparation (booths, games, movies, photo exhibition).
