A view on biodiversity within environmental impact assessment in the Global South
The KLIMOS platform and the CEBioS programme published a study on the situation of biodiversity in environmental impact assessment in the context of development cooperation.

In particular, the authors investigated how biodiversity is framed, and suggest that more diverse approaches to biodiversity should be considered instead of only the currently prevailing focus on its instrumental value. To improve the contribution of environmental impact assessment to baseline data for biodiversity monitoring, they advocate a more consistent methodology and the involvement of local universities and research institutes.
