News 2015 call for application for the 'FishBase and fish taxonomy’ training session

The FishBase team of the Royal Museum for Central Africa (Tervuren, Belgium) is pleased to announce the call for applications for the 2015 ‘FishBase and fish taxonomy’ training session.

The three month training session is intended for African scientists with an interest and expertise in African fresh- and brackish water fishes and their biology. The training session comprises three main components:

-          A detailed explanation of FishBase in all its aspects

-          A training in the taxonomy of African fishes

-          A case study

Five scholarships for the 11th edition of this training session are available for English speaking African scientists. All information necessary to apply for these scholarships is available on the website.

Eligible countries are: Angola, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Gambia, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Uganda, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

Deadline for application is 15 January 2015.
