News 1st CHM & GBIF joined meeting at the RBINS

Thanks to funds provided by the RBINS (CEBioS) and the GBIF Capacity Enhancement Support Programme (CESP), the first CHM & GBIF joined meeting was organised at the RBINS, from 30 September to 4 October 2019.

The meeting brought together French and Belgian CHM and GBIF representatives along with 13 representatives from Francophone African countries. Among these 13 people, 7 African partners were members of the CESP project (ref CESP 2019-10) and 6 were partners of the Belgian CHM network.

The main aims of the workshop were to present the new CHM Tool (Bioland) and GBIF tools and community to CHM administators or managers in order to spark collaboration opportunities. More specifically people worked together on how to use Bioland infrastructure and datas in the context of a possible GBIF collaboration.

 

 

Additional funding was provided by the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle, Paris, and Sud Experts Plantes Developpement Durable Programme (SEP2D).
