This policy brief was created to communicate the highly policy-relevant outcomes of one of the projects of the first call for Measuring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) of biodiversity and biodiversity policy. This project studied the trends in the surface of selected ecosystems and natural habitats, in the populations and extinction risks of selected species providing ecosystem services in Burundi. The policy brief calls for actions to improve the situation.
