Postdoc fellowships to non-EU researchers : SELECTION 2012 Call for proposal

The stimulation of international mobility and the attraction of researchers from abroad is one of the priorities of the European Research Area. In this context and intending to stimulate the S&T cooperation, the Federal Science Policy Office (BELSPO), together with the Marie Curie Actions, does implement a fellowship scheme for highly qualified non EU researchers (i.e. postdoctoral level or equivalent experience), granting them an opportunity to work during 6 to 18 months in a Belgian research team.

The potential Belgian host units are those which are involved in the research programmes and actions of BELSPO (cf. FEDRA) or belong to a federal scientific institution.

For the selection 2012 :

the UIAP-phase VII being at present in a process of evaluation, it has been decided that their promoters can introduce a postdoc fellowship file; nevertheless, the fellow will automatically be non-eligible if his, her promoter, candidate in UIAP-phase VII, could not be financed within this framework;
the deadline for application is Monday 5 March 2012 at 17:00 hour.

The appropriate application document should be sent by the Belgian project leader to BELSPO, avenue Louise 231 Louizalaan B-1050 Brussels. Only complete and duely signed applications received before the deadline will be taken into consideration.
