4th AnGR Photo Contest 2008

 Who can participate in AnGR photo contest?

- Countries from CEE/CAC region

Austria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Belarus, Moldova, Russian Federation, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan

Who can vote?

Everyone - who are involved in agriculture, who is fond of farm animals and are interested in the conservation of animal genetic resources.  The voting is free for every web-site visitors.

How the winner will be revealed?

By majority of votes. The voting system is open to everyone to see the rating of each photo.

What photo sections are presented?

- AnGR photo gallery (for CEE/CAC region)

- AnGR photo gallery (for other countries of the world)

- AnGR and Us - Amateur photo (out of the contest). You can send extra (max 2) photos for this gallery. The photo should be representing friendly relationship between people and animals. These photos are out of the contest and they are just for gallery. However, AnGR photo contest coordinators will choose the best photo of this section and award it by special Diploma of the Most Favourite Photo.  

Where the winner countries will be awarded?

Winner countries from CEE/CAC regions will be awarded at the 59th Annual Meeting of the European Association for Animal Production (EAAP), in Vilnius, Lithuania, in August 23, 2008 (http://www.eaap2008.org/). National Coordinators from the winner country of the Best AnGR Photo of 2008 will receive special diplomas for I, II and III place and the Most Favourite Photo from the AnGR and Us section will be awarded. The winner photos from CEE/CAC region will be exposed on a photo exhibition.

Winners from non-CEE/CAC regions who will not participate at the meeting will receive special electronic version of diploma via e-mail.   

What are the requirements for participation in the AnGR Photo Contest ?

1. Digital coloured pictures of AnGR

2. Maximum 3 pictures per country

3. Picture size: 400 X 300; Resolution 72

4. Name of animal breed

5. Name of sender and contact details

6. Country

Requirements for the Amateur pictures for AnGR and Us gallery (out of the contest)

1. Digital coloured pictures

2. Maximum 2 pictures per country

3. Picture size: 400 X 300; Resolution 72

4. Name (title) of the picture

5. Name of sender and contact details including country

Where and when pictures should be sent?

Photos should be sent from 25 April till 22 May 2008 to the following e-mail address: angr_photo@yahoo.com

We kindly ask National Coordinators from all AnGR member countries to join this initiative. The web address of AnGR Photo Contest 2008 web site will be announced on the opening date of voting (26 May, 2008).
