Research cooperation

Biodiversity shows no boundaries. Research cooperation is therefore essential for its study. This cooperation can take place at various levels, from organised programmes and networks to informal contacts between researchers.

Opportunities for cooperation are increasingly numerous, thanks to major funding programmes such as the European Union's Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development. The creation of information networks, the establishment of trans-national centres of excellence, the exchange of experts, the organisation of meetings and conferences are but a few examples of the range of possible activities.
