New brochure on the importance of biodiversity
The Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINS) and the Royal Institute for the Sustainable Management of Natural Resources and the Promotion of Clean Technology (IRGT-KINT) have just published a new brochure on the importance of biodiversity.

The present brochure follows and complements "Biodiversity in Belgium: an overview". After presenting the status of biodiversity in Belgium in the first volume, the new brochure highlights why biodiversity is important for human well-being. The core of the brochure is made of six case studies that illustrate the links between biodiversity and our daily life: health, pollination, food and agriculture, tourism and leisure, scientific and technical innovations, and - last but not least - art and culture.
