Federal:

Contribution to negotiation of an international regime on ABS according to the mandate adopted at the 7th Conference of the Parties of the CBD through ABS contactgroup participation of ABS expert within the EU expert group. Participation of Belgian expert to the Group of technical experts on an internationally recognized certificate of origin/source/legal provenance. Development of a pilot project (www.straininfo.net) using bioinformatics tool (webcrawlers and search engines) to access and make available data and information related to microbial resources via internet. Development and promotion of specific bioinformatics tool such as Global Unique Identifiers (GUIDs) . Conceiving Integrated Conveyance System as a way to implement ABS in routine operation.
