Federal:

Amendment of Belgian patent legislation (disclosure of country of origin). Development of the MOSAICC voluntary code of conduct for transfer of microbial genetic resources. Designing and promoting the use of Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) by Belgian collections

Future actions

• Develop targeted codes of conduct (such as MOSAICC) encourage their use;
• Develop and implement national mechanisms and measures concerning access to genetic resources and the fair and equitable sharing of benefits in accordance with the CBD. These mechanisms will be of a legislative, institutional and financial character and involve coordination among administrations and other parties involved.
