• Steunpunt milieu en gezondheid?

Federal:

Participation to the process of international COHAB conferences ( Conference on Health and Biodiversity ) initiated in 2005 in Ireland under the sponsorship a.o. of CBD , UNDP and UNEP, aimed to bring dialogueand collaboration across sectors on issues linking biodiversity with human health and well-being .

Future actions :

• Improve our understanding of the very strong existing link between human health and biodiversity, and consequently development. There should be particular support given to interdisciplinary resea
•  around these connected issues. The awareness of this link should be raised through educational programmes;
• Collaboration between health and environment organisations and ministries should be improved to ensure that these issues are considered together when planning and implementing policies.
