Federal:

diffusion of the NBS to relevant federal stakeholders (FPS, agencies) work of integration of biodiversity in 4 key federal sector in replaced the framework of the NBS

Future actions:

• Consider biodiversity from the early stages of the drafting process when developing new planning levels;
• Develop guidelines or checklists to help relevant departments to take biodiversity concern into account when developing legislations, plans or programs in other sectors in order to not damage biodiversity and actively contribute to its conservation and stainable use;
• Continually review the adequacy of legislation in furthering the objectives of the Belgian Biodiversity Strategy;
• Designate a contact person in each sector in charge of ensuring integration of conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity requirements in the sector.
