Walloon Region:

§ No field trials in the walloon Region.

Federal:

No GM trees presently in BE . Tranposition of 2001/18 apply to trees

• Participation of federal experts to meetings for elaboration of risk assessment guidance directives ( taking into account differences with GM annual plants )

Future actions:

• Avoid:

• Spreading of the transgenes into nature;
• Spreading of patented GM forests area, leading possibly to loss in forestry biodiversity and to negative social consequences (see also Objective 7.8.).
