Flanders:

Antwerp and Planckendael Zoo participate in conservation breeding programmes and re-introcution projects
Arboretum Kalmthout and Plantentuin Meise: development and conservation of seed banks of plant and tree species

Walloon Region:

Comptoir à grain à Marche. Le Comptoir Forestier de Marche-en-Famenne a comme mission de récolter dans les peuplements et vergers à graines wallons toutes les espèces forestières, tant majeures que secondaires, et de commercialiser ces graines par l'intermédiaire d'un catalogue annuel.

Future actions:

Take into consideration the guidance of various international commitments initiatives (CBD Art. 9, the targets for 2010 of the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation in CBD Decision VI/9, the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture, Botanic Gardens Conservation International, etc.).
