Fishing

For freshwater fishing, the national Law of 1954 on Fluvial Fishing underpins current regional legislation. It has been adapted to the Flemish context by the Decree on River Fishing of 1992, with modifications in 2003 and 2014. Its adaptation in Wallonia dates back to 1999, with the Decree on Fishing of the Walloon Region. As far as marine areas are concerned, the Decree on Sea Fisheries and Aquaculture was established in 1993 by the Flemish government (with modifications in 2001 and 2003).
