Assessment criterion:
- National (regional) standards, criteria, and best practices for selecting, establishing, managing and governance of PA developed
- criteria for selection and establishment of PA
=> guidelines on designation of Natura 2000 areas are based on the criteria of the Habitats and Birds Directives, for each site a designation form is completed and includes the habitats and species for which the site is designated
=> priorities for acquisition of land to be established as are based on occurrence of protected species or habitat types, representativeness and geographic distribution, and the aim to enlarge existing protected areas
- guidelines for management: description of various nature types and recommended management measures is available on the regional websites
