Seminar on EU project EDIT on scientific communication and especially related to the outcomes of the International Year of Biodiversity (IYB)

The presentation targets staff members interested in communication,
education, exhibitions and public outreach. No previous knowledge or
engagement in EDIT activities is required. The presentation focuses on
communication trends, best practices and lessons learned during the
International Year of Biodiversity. The lecture is based on two recent
EDIT-Public Awareness (PA) studies (The IYB within the EDIT Institutions,
Communication trends) and on the recent EDIT-PA workshop 'Debriefing the
IYB'.
The latter gathered communication and public awareness officers from the
EDIT institutions and international organisations such as International
Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) , Convention on Biological
Diversity (CBD) European Environment Agency (EEA) and Botanic
Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) in order to exchange on
experiences made during the IYB.
