Followed by a reception (18:45 - 20:00) marking the launch of CI - Europe and the presentation of the book "The Wealth of Nature. Ecosystem Services, Biodiversity, and Human Well-Being”

It is time to put the preservation of natural ecosystems at the heart of European development cooperation. It is now one year since the European Council invited the Commission to prepare an ambitious EU-wide strategy by end 2011. The discussion will explore progress to date, and the challenges ahead to meet the target. A cocktail reception will follow, hosted by Conservation International (CI) to mark the launch of CI Europe. The reception will take place at the European Parliament, Members Restaurant.
