On Tuesday 6 May the Research Institute for Nature and Forest (INBO) organises a workshop on “modeling for conservation”. Piet De Becker, Jan Peters (UGent) and Dirk Maes will first give some examples of how they use modelling techniques on some of the data collected at the INBO. For those who are interested, this information session will be followed by a workshop in which Mathieu Marmion (University of Oulu, Finland) will give a presentation about the different modelling techniques presently available. During and after this presentation, an informal discussion will be held about the use of modelling for nature conservation purposes. Anyone who is wondering whether his or her research can include modelling is kindly invited to attend the workshop ...

The infomoment is from 14-15 hours, the workshop from 15-17 hours, both take place in the auditorium in the Kliniekstraat 25 in Brussels. Participants are kindly requested to confirm their presence at the workshop by email (dirk.maes@inbo.be).

The language during the info moment and the workshop will be English. Researchers from outside the INBO are welcome
