2015 Green Week : Nature and Biodiversity

The theme of this year's Green Week, the biggest annual conference on European environment policy, is "Nature – our health, our wealth". We expect about 8-9 sessions presenting Green Infrastructure examples and policies to illustrate various relevant topics. One session, " Jobs and growth through Green Infrastructure" will explicitly show how green infrastructure contributes to economic development and job creation.

A number of initiatives will be presented to illustrate the opportunities and challenges of investing in green instead of grey infrastructure. How can investing in green infrastructure create and maintain both high-skilled and low-skilled jobs? What is the role of innovation? What new markets can emerge, in particular for SMEs?
