BE-POLES organises a three days workshop devoted to the work and expertise of Belgian polar scientists. This event will take place at the Royal Institute of Natural Sciences in Brussels aims at improving communication amongst scientists and between the scientific community and the outside world (policy makers and the general public).

The first two days (23-24 March) will be dedicated to scientific talks. The objective is to give an overview of the work done in Belgium and to identify possible collaborations between the different teams. Scientists are invited from abroad to present cutting-edge polar research and overviews of the various fields they work in. The third day aims at introducing polar science to the general public.
