The EUROPARC conference is based around the theme of (Re)connecting:
- (Re)Connecting people with nature;
- (Re)Connecting nature with nature;
- (Re)Connecting business with biodiversity;
- (Re)Connecting policy with practice.
In other words: (Re)Connecting society with biodiversity.
The (Re)Connection model challenges you to think and act beyond the boundaries of your own nature reserve. The focus is on a broader perspective for the whole region, integrating biodiversity in society and the workplace along with all interested parties and target groups for more far reaching results.
Celebrating 20 Years of Natura 2000 & Life Programme:
During the EUROPARC Conference we will be celebrating the twentieth anniversary of Natura 2000 and the Life programme and this will focus extra attention on the qualities of European nature and landscapes.
The Natura 2000 network and the Life programme are two indispensable instruments for European biodiversity. They are proof positive of how essential cooperation is for protecting nature and sustainable development.
