The Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) and the Institute for European Studies at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (IES) kindly invite you to their next Environmental Policy Forum on ‘The European Biodiversity Action Plan - State of Play and prospects after 2010’. Anne Teller, Administrator for the Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) at DG Environment, will present the European Commission’s mid-term assessment of progress in the implementation of the EU BAP. She will also discuss the EU’s commitment to halting the decline of biodiversity by 2010, and provide an outlook on future developments. Sebastian Winkler, Head of Countdown 2010, will present his perspective on the current situation with regard to the 2010 goal. He will also provide his visions for biodiversity policy after 2010. This event will start at 12:00 with a lunch reception and the talks will begin at 12:30.
