Conference on the Management of Natural Resources in Sub-Saharan Africa: wildlife, minerals and borders
The conference, organized by the Centre d'Estudis Africans of Barcelona with the support of the Barcelona City Council, wants to raise awareness about natural resources management in Sub-Saharan Africa, with special emphasis on three aspects: mineral resources, wildlife management and transfrontier schemes/disputes. Discussion will focus on the various forms of management and exploitation of resources, the potential benefits that can be obtained by populations and communities and a reality often full of conflicts and tensions.
