As the ecosystem services
concept is generating a lot of interest for all kind of environmental
and open space applications in Belgium, we felt that the time is right
to bring together the existing knowledge on a number of core issues
related to ecosystem services. These workshops are organised in the
frame of the BElgium Ecosystem Services (BEES) project, which is a
BELSPO-sponsored cluster project. that aims “To deliver an overview of
environmental, methodological economic to sociological issues at stake,
and to advice on priority research and policy actions needed to come to
a policy-relevant strategy for ecosystem services”
This fourth workshop will focus on economic valuation of ecosystem services in Belgium.
