The Information Session will help you to better evaluate your potential contribution to the implementation of the 2014-2018 IPBES Work Programme, and initiate some discussions on IPBES’ role, functioning and challenges (e.g.: feasibility of its workplan, stakeholder involvement, current and future challenges etc.).
Indeed, with Belgium as Member State, IPBES will likely impact on Belgian scientists and policy makers involved in the field of biodiversity and ecosystem services, and vice versa. The Belgian community (knowledge holders, policy makers from various fields, and stakeholders) will be invited to contribute to the assessments, capacity building activities, and development of policy tools and methodologies foreseen in IPBES work programme.
The participation to the Information Session is free of charge but registration is mandatory.
