Objectives

  • To present the potential of ecosystem services assessment in supporting the sustainable management of African MAB Reserves and beyond
  • To present and compare the findings of the EVAMAB project team’s fieldwork in African MAB Reserves
  • To foster a dialogue between MAB managers, academics and other stakeholders, on the strengths & weaknesses of a range of ecosystem services assessment tools
  • To gather input to co-produce a UNESCO Manual on Ecosystem Services Assessment Tools for African MAB reserves
