Romania received funds from the GEF for developing their National Biodiversity Strategy and their national CHM. The CHM part of the project was tendered in 2009 and a consortium of Eau de Web and the Belgian focal point for the CHM received the contract to develop a national CHM as well as a strategy for the CHM.
A first 2 day training was given to the Romanian focal point for the CHM in november 2009. One person from the Ministry of Environment and a person from the NBSAP project team in December 2009 participated in the training. A follow-up training is foreseen in the begining of 2010 as well as a national training for 15 people. More information on the training can be found on http://chmro.edw.ro/
The results of the training will be the information added on the Romanian national CHM site. This site can be accessed towards May 2010.
