The Clearing-house Mechanism (CHM) for the exchange of information about biodiversity, has become the main strategy of the Convention on Biological Diversity to establish a global network of cooperation and information for the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity.

Thanks to the efforts of a number of key institutions and Cuban NGOs, information about components of Cuban biota, researchers, access to the staff of institutions, location and content of databases on the subject, Cuban biological collections, setting of specimens, strains, prepared slides, samples of germplasm, etc., systems developed and magazines electronic and publications is available.

Also provides access to information on the Convention on Biological Diversity and links to key documents developed by the country, among others.
