In the process of executing the Cameroon Biodiversity Project (CBP) the Ministry of Environment, Protection of Nature and Sustainable Development (MINEPDED) came out with the project titled: “Development and Institution of a National Monitoring and Control System for Living Modified Organisms (LMOs) and Invasive Alien Species (IAS)”. Within this project one of the main activities was to develop the capacities of stakeholders on risk base approach to biodiversity and information management which acted as barriers to the implementation of the various components. Here, we report on the training carried out at the Centre for Information and Documentation on Environment (CIBE) at MINEPDED from 6 to 8 June 2017 involving 21 participants (see appendix 2) composed of a cocktail of indiscriminate mix of men and women, from the MINEPDED, MINFOF, MINPAT, MINFI, CUSTOMS SERVICES and MINADER all trained together irrespective of their level of education, specialization, Ministries of origin etc. Composed of 9 modules, the specific task of this activity was to produce and deliver a training course on commodity audit systems for compliance with risk assessment profiles to assist Cameroon increase its competence at entry points to conduct commodity audits.
