Losses on many crops and trees can be deteriorated by insects, nematodes which are major pests whereas diverse microbes such as fungi, bacteria, viruses cause most diseases. These pests (deleterious animals and microorganisms) may cause important damages on major crops which may represent major threat for food security. In the past, the mildew of potato a disease caused by Phytophthora infestans, a fungi, provoked famine in Ireland which led to the death of hundreds thousands of people. With the actual development of modern biotechnology leading to the production genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and living modified organisms (LMOs), a different type of risk must be taken into consideration. In order to prevent and manage pests/LMO, risk analysis and management is of paramount importance.
