Public consultation on conservation status – EU biogeographical level (Art.17 Habitats Directive) has started

The public consultation on conservation status under Art. 17 of the Habitats Directive has started. Based on the Member States data and assessments, the EEA and its ETC on Biological Diversity produced assessments for each biogeographical or marine region at the EU level based on a methodology agreed with the Member States and the European Commission.

The consultation will be running until Monday 7 July. It is open to any person that registers at the consultation web page http://bd.eionet.europa.eu/article17/reports2012/.
